At Chicago Medical Assistant School, we provide the NHA Medical Assistant CCMA study guide as a textbook resource to our students at no extra cost. Our program prepares students for a 80-hour externship at a local medical practice, a requirement for receiving the certificate of completion. Topics covered include Infection Control, Patient Intake, Vital Signs, Anatomy and Physiology, Neurology, Eye and Ear Care, Patient Scheduling, Orthopedic Medicine, Medication Administration, and Pharmacology. Students can choose their externship location or be placed at one by the school.
