This course is an introductory course designed to teach students basic phlebotomy skills and the proper preparation, labeling, and transportation of specimens to the laboratory. It will also discuss the different tubes used for collecting blood specimens and the order that these specimens are collected. The collection of non-blood specimens will also be discussed. The student will be taught manual skills in doing Venipuncture and dermal punctures.

This course prepares you for the following license certification exam: *** CPT: Certified Phlebotomy Technician from NHA(National Health-Careers Association) or AMCA(American Medical Certification Association)**
