The History Degree for Transfer guarantees acceptance to the CSU system and prepares students for transfer at the junior level to California State University programs and colleges offering bachelor's degrees in History and careers in Education, Law, Politics, Information Management, Business, Travel, Government, Museums and Libraries, Archival Work, and Journalism. History teaches students an introductory foundation of the knowledge and skills to interpret and build understanding of our political, economic, and social past. Upon successful completion of the program students will be able to analyze important events in historical eras, critique the value of varied sources of historical information, and apply the analysis of history, from a diversity of historical opinions and debates, to derive conclusions and assessments using support evidence.
