Community Based Experiential Training: CNA Pathways to College Program. Central AHEC is fully accredited as an official CNA training course approved by the State of CT Department of Public Health. Class registration is rolling and students will be contacted a month before a new class starts. Our class is limited to eight to twelve spaces, and it's first come, first serve. Classroom training will be held in person at our office and clinical training will be done in person at our clinical site. The program aims to create culturally competent caregivers who hope to make healthcare a career. The program is free and based on qualifications, however, we require a drug screen test, a background check, and a TB test (Tuberculosis) that students are responsible for obtaining and paying for. We also offer the opportunity to become CPR certified, there is a fee that will be the student's responsibility. We invite anyone in the community to apply and to be part of this exciting adventure!
