In person Certified Nursing Assistant Classes
Nursing Assistant Training at Central Community College is offered through the Lexington Center in Lexington, Nebraska. The 76-hour training prepares participants to assist patients with daily living tasks in nursing homes, hospitals, mental health facilities, assisted living facilities, and private homes. After successful completion, participants are eligible to take the Nebraska state competency examination, which includes written and skills tests, for placement on the Nebraska Nurse Aide Registry. The training meets requirements established by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. Registry eligibility requires individuals to be at least 16 years old, have no convictions for crimes involving moral turpitude, and be able to speak and understand English or a language understood by a substantial portion of the health care facility population.
