In person Phlebotomy Classes

Students taking this class should be interested in providing healthcare services that can help identify, evaluate, prevent, and/or treat diseases. Students will learn how to take and record patient's temperature, blood pressure, and pulse and breathing rates, serve meals to patients who cannot feed themselves, walk patients, and the use of computers in healthcare. The course also includes specific hands-on exploration in the areas of medical assisting, health careers, physical and occupational therapy, and nursing. Students can also earn their Phlebotomy (blood drawing) certification.

In person Patient Care Technician Classes

This program will prepare students in basic patient care, Electrocardiograms (EKG, ECG), phlebotomy skills, and assisting physicians/nurses with bedside procedures. Students taking this class should be interested in providing healthcare services that can help identify, evaluate, prevent, and/or treat diseases. Students will also learn medical terminology, safety in the workplace, how to take and record patient's vital signs, and the use of computers in healthcare. Students will also learn CPR and first aid.  Eligible students can earn a certification as a Patient Care Technician.

Hybrid Certified Nursing Assistant Classes

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) class offered by Careerline Tech Center (CTC) in Muskegon, MI provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to become a certified nursing assistant. The program includes comprehensive instruction in basic nursing skills, patient care and safety, and communication techniques. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the state certification exam.
