Career Training Solutions’ Sterile Processing Technician program is offered in blended-learning and in-person formats in partnership with listed community education institutions. It trains students to decontaminate, disinfect, sterilize, inspect, assemble, package, store, and distribute medical instruments and sterile supplies for hospitals, surgical centers, physician offices, dental offices, and other clinical settings. The 80-hour program includes live instruction and, in the blended format, 12 hours of in-person laboratory training. It prepares students to pursue the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution exam or the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association exam. Admission requires applicants to be at least 18 years old and to hold a high school diploma or GED.
