ITLS Provider
ITLS Provider includes 8 hours of classroom instruction, 8 hours of hands-on skills training, and testing for ITLS Basic or Advanced certification. Innovative skills stations let you practice the abilities appropriate for your level of certification. With its comprehensive approach to core knowledge and skills, ITLS Provider is appropriate for all levels of EMS personnel—from EMT-Bs and first responders to advanced EMTs, paramedics, trauma nurses, and physicians.
Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC)
Program stresses proper driving techniques and methods for safe driving practices of emergency rescue vehicles. Instructor will advise students of start time for the driving portion day. This 16 hour course provides emergency vehicle operators with the knowledge and skills to enable them to consistently operate their vehicles in a safe manner under emergency and non-emergency driving conditions.
Firefighter I & II
The diploma program in Firefighter is offered in two phases and requires students to progress between the two phases seamlessly. Candidates must pass the first phase before moving into the second phase. This program is designed to provide student with the basic knowledge and skills required for a fire service professional. A focus is placed on the safety and health of the firefighter as well as techniques and practices utilized by firefighters in various fire settings.
In person Emergency Medical Technician Classes
Students’ will learn the following topics: Hospital care of patients, patient assessment, baseline vital signs, bandaging, oxygen therapy, patient transport, focused and detailed examinations and patient reports. This session will orientate the student with the roles of the Emergency Department. Each student will work along medical professional in the field or hospital setting and gain the hands on training needed in the EMS field. This is presented in lecture and laboratory prior to the student being sent to clinical. An instructor will be with the student at all times.
In person CPR / Basic Life Support Classes
This course is the foundation of the American Heart Association Courses. Braxton College offers CPR classes at our locations or we will come to you. Whether it is for an initial training, renewal, community training or just an awareness level allow us to discuss how easy it is. The more people trained in this life saving skill the more lives that will be saved from sudden cardiac arrest.
