This American Heart Association course is intended for healthcare providers taking Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR for the first time, or for those whose certification has expired. Current CPR certification is required for all people who work in healthcare, and also to be eligible for accepting work in your new career. The curriculum is designed to provide healthcare providers with ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Topics include: Adult, child and infant CPR, Use of the AED, Barrier devices, and Bag Valve Masks (BVM).
