General Duties

Upon completion of the program, CNAs can perform a range of essential duties, including:

• Safely transferring patients in and out of beds
• Setting up and maintaining medical equipment
• Vital sign measurement, such as pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration
• Providing assistance with feeding and nutrition
• Ensuring clean and comfortable bed linens
• Collecting patient specimens and recording vital data
• Answering patient calls and delivering messages promptly
