The Cybersecurity degree option serves students who seek jobs that require computer and information security skills. These students are not interested transferring to a four-year school. Emphasis is placed on data loss prevention, identity and access management, incident response, and forensic analysis. The option provides preparation for a career as a cybersecurity professional. Student can obtain skills required for several industry certifications including CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Linux+, TestOut Ethical Hacker Pro, and CompTIA CySA+.
This degree serves students who seek a career in computer systems support, but are not interested in programming or transferring to a baccalaureate program. Strong emphasis is given to supporting computer hardware, software, security, and networks. Upon successful completion of the program, employment opportunities may include computer server administrator, help desk technician, and computer support professional.
The 34-credit certificate program is designed to be completed in 1.5 years and allows graduates, who meet the needed admission criteria, to apply to the associate degree nursing program within six months of graduation. The program’s curriculum consists of planned learning experiences in the classroom, laboratory, and faculty-supervised clinical settings. Students receive instruction in the provision of nursing care for clients across the lifespan. Graduates, as members of an interprofessional health care team, are prepared to function ethically and legally under the supervision of the Registered Nurse or physician.
The Business Administration Certificate Program provides students with an opportunity to learn and develop skills that will help them find immediate employment in entry-level supervision and supervisory positions. This Certificate is also intended for students who plan to continue with their Associate degree or transfer to 4-year institutions.
The Criminal Justice curriculum is dedicated to provide the theoretical, practical and professional knowledge needed in today's environment to be successful in the fields of policing, corrections, courts, probation, parole, private security and related service careers. Emphasis is placed on preparing the student for the professional workplace or continued studies in a four-year institution. The curriculum is designed to provide the student with expert instruction on the most current trends, policies and practices in the field.
