This three (3) week, 90-hour course for the Certified Nurse Assistant and/or Red Cross trained Nurse Assistant will focus on the role of “Assistive Personnel” and the latest trend in healthcare. The program teaches skill and theory that will enable participants to provide quality care in rehabilitation facilities and in a hospital setting. Skills taught include venipuncture, electrocardiogram, respiratory care, dietary needs, and how to give basic treatments. Upon course completion participants receive the Red Cross PCA completion certificates PCA pin, and will be eligible to take the National Health Association (NHA) exam for National Certification. Weekday sessions are offered monthly from 9:00-3:30pm, 3 consecutive weeks.
