The Certified Nursing Assistant Training program employs the “objectives from the Arkansas LTCF nursing assistant training curriculum for all units of instruction.” The courses shall consist of a combination of classroom and clinical instruction. The requirements for state certification will be a minimum of ninety (90) hours of training, with a balance between seventy-four (74) hours of theory instruction and sixteen (16) hours of skill training. Day classes meet: M – F for 3 weeks: 8:00am – 2:30pm Night classes meet: M – F for four weeks: 5:00pm – 10:00pm Instruction includes: Basic Nursing Skills, Emergency Procedures, Respiratory and Urinary Systems, Reproductive and Immune/Lymphatic Systems, Activities of Daily Living, Rehabilitation/Restorative Services, Cognitive Impairment, Mental Health and Social Needs, Life Directives.
