What to Expect?

• This entry-level course is aimed to enhance your capability to take care of patients. You'll learn to take vital signs, feed patients, range of motion exercises, and provide incontinent care.

• The course is delivered in a PowerPoint video format, allowing you to go through the materials at your own pace.

Completion and Certification

• After the course, you'll need to complete a registration form certifying your seminar attendance.

• A certificate of completion is available upon request, which can be delivered to your email within 48 hours of completion.

We are pleased to offer the Medication Aide 7 Hours Online Seminar designed specifically for current medication aides.

Eligibility

• You must be a certified nurse aide.

• You should have a valid high school diploma or GED.

• You must be currently working in a nursing home.

A form validating your employment, notarized by your director of nursing or administrator, is required for enrollment.

Medication Aide 7 Hours Online Seminar

This program:

• Provides an extensive review of the medication aide's role.

• Fulfills the annual training requirements set by DADS.

Please Note: Texas Health and Human Services recommends taking the Update class 90 days prior to permit expiration.

Enrollment Procedure

Ensure that you:

• Have internet access and a computer.

• Are a current medication aide in Texas.

• Have your fingerprints ready to be turned into the state.

After successful enrollment, you will be linked directly to the seminar. On completion of all requirements, a certificate of completion will be sent to your provided email address.
