Successful completion of the EMT program and the National Registry certifying examination presents the EMT with exciting employment opportunities with private ambulance companies, fire departments, and hospitals that utilize basic life support skills. They may also find employment with companies providing basic medical care at concerts, sporting events, and amusement parks. Completion of the EMT program is a prerequisite for most Paramedic Programs throughout the United States.

Working primarily in hospital settings, respiratory therapists are responsible for an extremely wide range of patients. From the smallest infants to the elderly, from long-term disease to emergencies, respiratory therapists must be prepared for everything. This is a degree completion program. Students must have earned an associate degree in respiratory care, hold your RRT from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), and currently licensed to practice to be eligible for admission.

Becoming a Registered or Certified Healthcare Documentation Specialist (RHDS or CHDS) is not a legal or regulatory requirement; however, it is a distinction looked upon favorably by many individuals and employers in the healthcare industry. To earn the Registered or Certified Healthcare Documentation Specialist distinction requires an individual to graduate from an AHDI-approved Healthcare Documentation Specialist (MT) Training Program and successfully pass the RHDS or CHDS certification exam.

Saint Joseph’s University’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography Certificate is designed for students with a college degree who want to start a career in the fast-growing field of sonography. During this program, you'll perform a variety of real-life exams and invasive procedures, from obstetrics and gynecology to vascular and trauma.

This 40-credit certificate program can be completed in less than one year. Once you've completed the program, you'll be eligible to take the** American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) examinations** in sonographic physics, abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology.
