Surgical Technician is a basic entry level program for students to pursue a career in the healthcare field.

This program will give participants the knowledge of Legal and Ethical Issues in Healthcare, Understanding the Patient, Pediatric and Geriatric Patients, Physical, Chemical and Biological Hazards, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Disease Transmission Prevention (Perioperative), Emergency Situations, Pharmacology, Instrumentation and Equipment Basics, The Wound, Introduction to Case Management, The Diagnostic Procedures, Surgery: General, Surgery: Obstetric and Gynecologic, Surgery: Ophthalmic, Surgery: Otorhinolaryngologic, Surgery: Oral and Maxillofacial, Surgery: Plastic and Reconstructive, Surgery: Genitourinary, Surgery: Orthopedic, Surgery: Cardiothoracic, Surgery: Peripheral Vascular, Neurosurgery.

Various quizzes and assessment tools are available within each module to evaluate the learner’s outcome, these quizzes and tools will give the learner the feedback about their progress into the course as they proceed from one module to another.

At successful completion of the program the student will be awarded with a certificate of completion from the school. 

The University of Cincinnati - Online provides a Nurse Practitioner (NP) program, which is a healthcare certification program that prepares students for the challenging role of a nurse practitioner. This program has a comprehensive curriculum and a flexible online format, enabling students to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality healthcare services. The Doctor of Nursing Practice in Visionary Leadership at CCU is designed for advanced practice nursing professionals who already have an MSN. This can be nurse practitioners, nurse administrators, nurse anesthetists, healthcare leaders, clinical nurse specialists, and/or nurse educators. The DNP is considered the final and highest-level clinical nursing practice degree.

The online DNP program at CCU is a practice-focused doctorate that will prepare experts in specialized advanced nursing practice. Graduates will be able to apply credible research and translate evidence-based practice into improved health outcomes. The doctoral program provides the development of advanced competencies for increasingly complex practice and enhanced leadership to strengthen healthcare delivery and patient care.

The DNP degree equips graduates for career advancement and leadership roles in several professions, including Director of Nursing, CNO, leadership in a healthcare system, consulting, academia, staff and professional education, clinical practice, and nurse entrepreneurs.

CCU's online DNP program can be completed in two years of full-time study. The program includes 525 hours of clinical experience beyond the MSN.

The Associate Degree Nursing Program provides students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for the practice of professional nursing. The integrating concepts of professionalism, critical thinking, caring, collaboration, and nursing interventions are embedded into each nursing course. Program coursework provides a framework for students learning in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings. These educational experiences allow the student to achieve defined program learning outcomes.

An advanced placement, LPN Mobility track, is available for Licensed Practical Nurses who have graduated from a State-approved practical nursing school and who have completed the general education courses required for Semester I (see Program Plan). Individuals eligible for this track receive six core-nursing credits for the first semester and can complete the program in three semesters.

Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to apply for the National Council Licensure Examination – Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN) and enter the profession of nursing as defined by Minnesota statutes (148.171 Subd. 15, Practice of Professional Nursing).

Those transferring an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) may complete their program in 14 months. At the time of official evaluation students will be awarded 87 total credits from their ADN and valid unrestricted/unencumbered RN license. RNs without an ADN transfer will be awarded 40 total credits and may complete their degree in 2.5 years.
