Traviss Technical College (TTC) offers a Certified Nursing Assistant certification class that provides students with the opportunity to become certified in the field of nursing. This class covers the skills necessary to provide care for patients, including safety management and knowledge of medical terminology. Upon successful completion of this class, students will be certified and eligible to apply for employment in the nursing field.

The American Red Cross in Winter Haven, FL offers a Certified Nursing Assistant certification class. This class provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Upon completion of the class, students will be eligible to take the Florida CNA exam and become a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Orange Technical College - Avalon Campus has a quality Certified Nursing Assistant training program with a hardworking and thoughtful teacher. They are located in Orlando. The class is 120 hours long. Students will learn the 22 essential nursing skills to allow them to pass the cNA exam.

This course provides the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform basic care services for a patient (acute care setting) or resident (long-term care setting) or an individual in a home health setting. It prepares the student to function in the role of nursing assistant under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN).  The course includes 84 hours of lecture and skills training with the option to attend 40 hours of clinical experience in a hospital or nursing home ($200 separate fee).  Completers of the CNA program will be able to challenge the CNA licensing exam in the state of Florida and immediately work as a Patient Care Attendant and/or Home Health Aide in any Medicare approved center. 

FHCA Orlando offers a solid class to help you prepare for a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. There are two different class options: one that is 6 weeks long during weekdays during the daytime and one that is on Saturdays that is 13 weeks long. So, although the program is a bit longer, it is a better fit for those who have particular scheduling needs. The program includes an HIV 4 hour certification.
