Uncharted has designed their phlebotomy course to be flexible and convenient, with online classes that can fit even the busiest schedules. Their instructors are nurses with years of experience in their field, and they'll help you prepare to take the National Phlebotomy Exam by the National Healthcare Association. With Uncharted, you'll receive personalized help along the way and finish the program ready for your future career as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)! Students will be required to bring a minimum of two volunteers on our community stick day and obtain a minimum of 30 sticks throughout the program. All course work will be complete online except skills.
A phlebotomy technician is someone who draws blood from patients. Phlebotomists collect and prepare blood for diagnostic tests, donations, and blood transfusions.
You'll need to obtain a High School Diploma or GED or complete an 8th Grade test. You must be able to pass a criminal background check. You'll also need to provide a copy of your Social Security card and one of your state-issued IDs (e.g., state ID, driver's license, American passport). You may be asked for other documents such as a drug test or immunization records. We match you with our state-approved CNA training provider in your area.
